You can now apply for tickets to the capital’s first ever Rubber Tracks Live show headlined by hotly tipped band Wolf Alice. The gig, which will be held at legendary venue The Boogaloo on 24th February, celebrates the Rubber Tracks Haringey residency which finished earlier this month.
Since forming in 2010, North London four-piece Wolf Alice have become one of Britain’s brightest rock prospects. The group’s sound is an incendiary mix of grunge, punk and Britpop, all held together by singer Ellie Roswell’s impassioned yowl. They’ve built a reputation for the raw energy and restless spirit of their live shows, which have seen them land on the BBC Sound of 2015 shortlist.
Rubber Tracks London band Crows have been handpicked by Wolf Alice to be the support act. Earlier this month, the garage-rock quartet were among 10 up-and-coming artists who recorded tracks with award-winning producer and engineer Al O’Connell at Haringey’s Snap Studios. The acts were recognised as some of the most outstanding new musical talents in London when selected by NME magazine New Music Editor Matt Wilkinson, London radio station NTS founder Femi Adeyemi and Harry Balazs of The Young Guns Network.
